Taylorsville Valley Light
Set within an idealized pioneer landscape, Taylorsville Valley Light portrays the Taylorsville Utah Temple rising above the historic agricultural character of the western Salt Lake Valley. A mature cottonwood tree, split-rail fencing, cultivated fields, orchard trees, and a gently flowing irrigation ditch recall the land’s early farming heritage and distinctly Utah setting.
Across the foreground, regional wildflowers inspired by bird’s-foot trefoil, Red Beauty bergenia, and broad-leaved gilia introduce pale gold, burgundy, muted violet, sage green, and warm cream. These colors subtly echo the floral motifs and art glass found within the temple while allowing the sacred architecture to remain the clear focal point.
Bathed in warm, natural light beneath an open western sky, the temple stands as a place of peace, permanence, and spiritual refuge within the valley.
