Our Story
About Holy Ground Art
Holy Ground Art was created by Dawson and Michelle Broadbent, a husband-and-wife team who wanted to combine Michelle’s love of painting, Dawson’s love of technology, and their shared love of God into something meaningful.

What Holy Ground Means
To us, holy ground is not limited to one kind of place. It can be found in temples, in the mountains, in quiet landscapes, in memories, in homes, and in moments that turn our hearts toward the Savior. Holy Ground Art exists to create artwork that helps people remember those sacred places and bring that feeling into their homes.
Our hope is simple: to create art that brings light, peace, and reverence into everyday spaces.

About Michelle
Michelle is the artist behind Holy Ground Art.
Art became sacred to Michelle long before it became a business. One of her first meaningful experiences with painting came in middle school, when she experienced a miracle working to get into school and discovered that creating art was a way for her to personally connect with the divine. To this day she continues to use her art as a way to express hope, effort, beauty, and faith.
Michelle later came to Brigham Young University, where she found belonging, mentors, faith, and a deeper sense of purpose. Her story has been shaped by courage, transition, family, and her belief in God’s hand in her life. Barbara Morgan Gardner shared part of Michelle’s journey, including her move from China to the United States, many of her experiences coming to know God, and her conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on her podcast, Grounded. Listen to her story here..
Her artwork is deeply connected to her love for the Savior. Whether she is painting a temple, a landscape, or a place that matters personally to someone, Michelle wants each piece to feel peaceful, meaningful, and full of light.

About Dawson
Dawson helps build the technology behind Holy Ground Art.
He has always been drawn to using technology to create practical, meaningful things. Holy Ground Art gives him the opportunity to apply those skills to something personal and lasting. He helps develop the digital concepts behind many of the prints, supporting Michelle’s artistic vision and helping her work reach more people. His goal is to use technology to bring more light into the world, one person and one home at a time.
Dawson also shares Michelle’s love for the Savior and for sacred places. Temples have always represented peace, covenant, and direction to him. He also feels close to God in the mountains, where quiet, beauty, and creation make the world feel clearer.
Together, Dawson and Michelle created Holy Ground Art to help others remember the places, experiences, and truths that feel holy to them.
