Orem Orchard Heritage

Bathed in the final warmth of sunset, the Orem Utah Temple rises above orderly rows of flowering fruit trees, with the Wasatch Mountains stretching across the horizon. Golden light gathers on the temple’s pale stone while the orchard leads the eye toward its luminous spire, creating a scene of peace, permanence, and sacred belonging.

The orchard was chosen to reflect the history of Lake View, where the temple now stands. The area was once known for its fruit orchards, and that heritage is echoed throughout the temple in cherry branches, blossoms, leaves, and fruit found in its art glass and interior details. The orchard therefore connects the temple to the land and community that shaped Orem.
